Welcome to the Year 6 page!
This term our topic is
The Anglo-Saxons & Vikings!
In Autumn, we will be learning about how the Saxons came to settle in Britain. We will look at the way that they lived and use historical artefacts to give us clues about key events in history.
In Spring, we will continue our journey through history to look at the Vikings! We will learn about how they travelled and fought and consider how Britain changed as different people settled here.

In Year 6 we love to read!
In Year 6 we are half way through reading Holes. The main character, Stanley, has been falsely imprisoned at a camp in the desert. He has been asked to dig a series of mysterious holes. Could there be a secret hidden in there?
In year 6 we read a minimum of 3 times a week at home and we read a lot in school too!
