Welcome back! The children have continued with their hard work and have an incredibly busy term ahead:
Weeks 1, 2 and 3: The Vikings: the children learn about some key events in Viking times and compare and contrast these with the times of the Anglo- Saxons
Weeks 4, 5 and 6: Endangered Animals: Year 5 have chosen the tiger (focusing on the Sumatran Tiger) to study. Children will use a variety of reference materials to research facts and then will produce two extended pieces of writing, a story and a persuasive piece, enabling them to share what they have learned.
Week 7: Science Week: Friction and Forces
Week 8: Book Week
Weeks 9 - 12: Changes in Materials- details to be added later in the term.
