Homework

This term, homework in Year 2 will consist of weekly Mathletics Activities linked to the week's Maths learning in school. These tasks will be set on a Wednesday and are to be completed by the following Monday.

Children should also be reading at least three times a week and recording this in their planners.

Thursday 12th November homework due Monday 16th

Science

The children built their own bridges out of paper. We have asked them to research other bridges to find ideas about bridges and how they can make theirs better for next week.

Reading

Children are encouraged to read a little each day, they could read 6 pages of their book. We would like the children to talk about the book, answer questions posed by yourself. In year two it is important for the children to read with fluency and a good pace.

Reading books will be changed twice a week.

Tuesdays and Fridays

There is active learn for additional books to read and this resource supports children with questions based on what they have read for each individual book.

Maths - online

We have got a selection of maths online logins that the children are able to access.
