Autumn 2017 - Welcome Back!
The children have made a fantastic start to year 5.
Our topics this term are Rainforests and Anglo-Saxons, and we are also reading the story of The Tempest. You will be able to find more information about all of this in the Autumn topic link above.
Lots of the children will be taking part in our production of The Tempest at the Alhambra Theatre on the evening of 22nd November, as part of the Shakespeare Schools Festival.
Please continue to ensure your child reads at least three times a week and records this in his or her planner. Please sign your child's planner each week.
Homework is set on Fridays - this will normally be a mathletics challenge, with maths homework on paper for those who cannot access mathletics.
Spellings are also set each Friday. These might be words to learn and put in sentences, or spelling patterns or rules to investigate/ collect
PE is on Tuesday afternoons.
Music lessons - guitar and violin - take place on Thursdays.
