  • In our school everyone has the right:
  • To feel safe and happy
  • To learn and be successful
  • To be respected.

Phonics is really important in how we teach children reading, writing and spelling. Using phonics can help children to tackle words that may be tricky. We also use our phonics lessons to teach these common exception words so that children are able to use these in their writing. If you can encourage your child to use their phonic knowledge when reading it will benefit them in the classroom.

Here are the sound mats that we use in school during English lessons. We revise over all these sounds in our phonic lessons.

Here are the phonics flashcards that we use during our phonics lessons.

Here are some websites to help support your child at home with their phonics.
