Our trip to Skipton castle
You should have, by now, received a letter about our trip to Skipton castle on Monday 19th November. If you have not done so already, please can you return your child's permission slip either to the school office or in your child's book bag as soon as possible. It is a wonderful opportunity for the children to visit a castle and to find out about their features and the history surrounding it.
PE After half term PE will change to a Wednesday for Autumn 2 only. This is because we are lucky enough to have a coach in to teach the children new skills. Therefore, please can children come to school in their PE kit on a Wednesday starting on Wednesday 7th November. Thank you
Our PE day is Thursday. Please come to school wearing your PE kit and sensible shoes.
New PE kit is required in September - plain white t-shirt, black or navy tracksuit, black or navy shorts for the warmer weather and any comfortable trainers.
Please bring a water bottle. Earrings to be taken out or covered up with plasters/tape.
Every Wednesday afternoon year 2 will visit the school library where they can choose a reading book to take home. This book must be returned the following week to then choose a new one. If the book is not returned then they will not be able to take one out until the previous book is returned.
Your child can change their reading book once they have finished reading it. You are more than welcome to read the book more than once or change it straight away if your child does not like it. Books can be changed first thing on a morning and will usually have take place before 9.30am each day.
