In the Summer term, some members of Year 1 are taking part in a cooking club for four weeks.
We are planning to make soda bread, funny face pizzas, fruit kebabs and ice lollies.
In the Autumn term, Year 4 have been lucky enough to take part in a 4 week block of after school cookery lessons with Mr. Browning, Mrs. Yearby and Mrs. Webb.
The children learned how to make Chocolate Chip and Beetroot Muffins, Soda Bread, Tzatziki and Guacamole.
Each child learned and applied skills for food preparation, food handling and safety. They all managed to identify hazards in and around the kitchen and share ideas about healthy eating and the benefits of an active lifestyle.
The club was a huge success with Years 4 and 5, and we will soon be planning sessions for Year 3 in the Spring Term.
Take a look at some of the photos from the sessions.
